We offer a range of unique courses designed to develop your knowledge and skills as a teacher, educator, trainer or facilitator. We look for applicants whose work is connected with teaching young people (14+) or adults for a social purpose. You can follow a pathway from a basic qualification through to a full degree. Certificate in Education ('Cert. Ed.') and Professional Graduate Certificate in Education ('PGCE')
Awards of the University of Huddersfield
Part-time In-Service (whilst teaching) course leading to a professional qualification in further, higher, and adult education and training. For people whose role includes at least 75 hours teaching per year, in the adult sector (includes 14-19 year olds).
Achievement of PTLLS at level 4 contributes towards your first module.
People without a degree study for a Cert Ed, people with a degree study for a PGCE, but both groups study together. You should also hold a level 3 qualification in the subject you teach.
We particularly welcome applicants from ethnic minorities and people with disabilities.
The awards are SVUK (formerly FENTO) endorsed and HE Academy accredited for those employed in the appropriate sectors.
