Trade Union Skills Short Courses

Trade Union Studies team at Northern College delivers a wide range of short courses designed to support trade union activity. They are a mix of skill and knowledge-based learning. The subjects range from skills for new reps, to organising around workplace issues, equality and learning, to IT skills. We also offer specialist training for experienced reps. All the courses are designed in partnership with your trade union and branches, to meet your needs.

The courses usually residential and last between three and five days, run in a block during the week and at weekends.

Most courses are accredited through Certa and TUC, you can bank these credits to achieve qualifications.

We can also provide short non-accredited courses designed to encourage members and activists back into learning and into trade union activity.
