Course description

This course will help you to develop a range of key employability skills, alongside developing the knowledge and skills required to work in adult social care. At the end of the pathway, you will have the necessary knowledge, skills and qualifications to move into paid employment within a range of health and social care settings.

This course covers the following:

Understand the Role of the Social Care Worker
Introduction to Duty of Care in Health, Social Care or Children’s and Young People’s Settings
Principles of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in Adult Social Care Settings
Understand Person-Centred Approaches in Adult Social Care Settings
Principles of Communication in Adult Social Care Settings
Principles of Personal Development in Adult Social Care Settings
Understand Health and Safety in Social Care Settings
