Course description
The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a safe working environment on construction sites. This certification is a crucial requirement for individuals looking to work on construction sites across the UK, ensuring that all workers meet the necessary health, safety, and environmental standards.
This course is intended for anyone who is seeking a role that would require entering a Construction site this could include construction workers, cleaners, security staff and site administrators.

Course content
During the 2 week course you will study the following qualifications:
- Building your path to Construction Success
- Entry 3 Award in Occupational Studies
- Level 1 Award in Employability Skills
- Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment
On completion of the above qualifications learners will externally sit and exam at a local Pearson testing centre for certification of the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test for Operatives.
Please be aware that once you have completed your qualification, you will need to apply for a CSCS Green Card. The cost for this is £36 and the college may be able to help with this.
What can this course lead to?
This course will lead to employment opportunities within the Construction Industry. Alternatively, once achieved you could complete your SIA Licence to work as a Door Supervisor/ Security Guard or upskill in a specific area for example administration or management.
