Course description
This course will explore basic first aid skills, including how to assess an incident requiring first aid and will provide practical advice on how to provide first aid to someone who is unresponsive.
Course content
In this course, you’ll discover:
- Real life Techniques: We’ll teach you essential first aid skills like CPR, how to care for wounds, and what to do if someone is choking or has an allergic reaction.
- Practice Makes Perfect: You’ll get plenty of chances to practice these skills in a fun and safe environment through engaging activities and role-playing scenarios.
- Stay Calm and Confident: We’ll help you build the confidence you need to stay calm and act quickly when it matters most. You’ll learn how to assess situations and make decisions that can save lives.
- Supportive Learning: Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a complete beginner or just looking to refresh your knowledge. We create a supportive atmosphere where you can ask questions and learn at your own pace.
By the end of this course, you’ll have the knowledge and skills to handle emergencies with confidence. You’ll leave feeling empowered and ready to help others in need.
What can this course lead to?
This course is beneficial for those who have been out of education or work for a while and are looking to gain new knowledge and skills or learners who volunteer within their local community and want to have confidence to help should someone come into difficulty. You could progress on to further short courses such as Discover Your Impact: Volunteering or if you feel confident to, complete the accredited Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification.
