What is Introduction?

This is an introductory level course for beginners and requires no formal qualifications to apply.

This course builds on your experience of programming robots and does so by providing more complex challenges for your electronic partner! Write a program for a robot to navigate around a map, to stop at programmed points, and to record its journey.

Course content

The course is practical in nature, with most of the time spent writing code for the robot to follow.

What can this course lead to?

The course will provide practical experience of writing code for Virtual Reality and could be used to demonstrate suitability for courses in further or higher education.

When does this start and end?

At the moment we have no available dates for this course. We will be updating them throughout the year, check back or submit and enquiry to be added to a waiting list.

What are the entry requirements?

No formal requirements; students will require a familiarity with writing JavaScript code, ideally by completing the college’s Introduction to Programming course. They will also need to be familiar with programming robots, ideally by completing the college’s Robotics with the Microbit and More Robotics with the Microbit courses.
