What is Introduction?

This is an introductory level course for beginners and requires no formal qualifications to apply.

Building on past learning, this course looks more seriously at robots and what they can do, as well as creating more sophisticated programs for the robot to run.

Most of the course content is practical, getting hands on with the computer program that controls the robot.

What can this course lead to?

Combined with other Northern College courses (such as Intro to Programming) this course could lead to the College’s Further Robotics course.

When does this start and end?

At the moment we have no available dates for this course. We will be updating them throughout the year, check back or submit and enquiry to be added to a waiting list.

What are the entry requirements?

No formal requirements; students will be required to have completed the Next Steps in Computers course, or already have digital skills equivalent to those listed in that course’s description. They will also be required to have some experience of programming robots, such as having completed the College’s Robotics with the Microbit course.
