Course description

The course will help learners develop skills needed in the workplace, including timekeeping, dressing for work and interacting with colleagues. Alongside this, learners will undertake activities designed to build their confidence in dealing with new situations and learning new skills. By the end of the course, learners will have examples of where they have developed new skills, and will have produced a CV, and practiced their interview skills in readiness to seek employment.

The course will include two days a week learning key skills in a classroom, with a third day undertaking simulated work activities. Students will spend this day undertaking practical work activities on the college site, developing skills in Housekeeping, Food and Drink or Warehousing.
